Homegrown Child Development

When Alice Palmer, a Paediatric Occupational Therapist with a passion for home-based therapy, approached us to create a brand identity for Homegrown Child Development, we knew it was a project that required a warm, family-focused touch.

Alice had a clear vision: to integrate therapy into everyday family life, emphasising parental involvement and a holistic approach to child development.

Our Role:

  • Brand Identity Design

  • Brand Application

The Challenge

Alice needed a brand that could:

  • Reflect her approach of integrating therapy into the home environment.

  • Appeal to parents and therapists, emphasising the importance of family involvement.

  • Stand out in the paediatric therapy space that was typically clinic-based, and minimised parent involvement.

  • Convey the holistic nature of her services, linking emotional, relational, and physical development.

Our Approach

We immersed ourselves in Alice's vision, focusing on creating a brand that felt both professional and nurturing. We designed a visual identity that spoke to Alice’s core values and approach, carrying home-grown, nurturing essence of the brand. A fresh natural colour palette, simple organic brand assets, a type system that married playful friendliness with trustworthy expertise, and a simple yet meaningful logo that symbolised growth and development.

The Result

The final Homegrown Child Development brand reflects Alice's goals, combining a warm, child-focused and family-based approach with professional expertise. The brand identity stands out in the paediatric therapy market, appealing to both parents and therapists.

Alice's new brand positions Homegrown Child Development for growth as they look to expand their practice team and serve families in the wider Hunter region.

From Alice:

“Huge relief, we're so glad we took the plunge and did this. Tony and Laura really understood our vision. We needed our brand to reflect our warm, child-focused, family-based approach. We LOVE the result, and can't wait to launch with confidence!”
